What Most people wonder before their first booking

Most first-time clients say the same thing after their first in-home session: "I should have done this sooner."

Not sure which one is right for you? This guide answers that question directly — with a clear verdict for every common situation.

Which one is right for your situation?

If your goal is

"Will this be as good as a clinic?"

Yes — and in most cases better. MassageHome therapists are the same CMTBC or CMTO-registered RMTs who work in clinics and hospitals. They bring professional-grade tables, linens, and oils. The clinical quality is identical. The experienc is significantly more convenient
If your goal is

How much space do I need?

A 2m × 2m clear area is enough — roughly a desk chair width and length from each end of the table. This fits in most living rooms, bedrooms, and even studio apartments. Your therapist sets up efficiently in any home configuration.
If your goal is

Is it safe to have a stranger come to my home?

Every MassageHome therapist is criminally background- checked, provincially registered, and $2M insured. You receive their name, photo, and credentials before arrival. You can track their estimated arrival time. Your session takes place entirely at your comfort level.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Do I need to tip my massage therapist?

No — tipping is not expected or required. MassageHome therapists are compensated as professional healthcare providers, not as service
industry workers. If you had an outstanding session and want to express appreciation, a positive review on the therapist's profile is the most valuable acknowledgment — it directly supports their ability to book future clients.

What should I wear — do I need to undress?

For most massage types (Swedish, deep tissue, therapeutic), you will address to your comfort level, covered by professional draping throughout. Only the area being worked on is uncovered at any time. For clothed modalities (Thai, Shiatsu, Chair Massage), you remain fully clothed in loose, comfortable clothing. Your therapist will advise at the start of the session.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

You can reschedule or cancel your session with no fee. If you need to cancel on the same day, please do so as early as possible so your therapist can fill the slot. Contact us through the app, website, or by phone. Last-minute cancellations are still accommodated — your therapist's time is respected either way.

Can I book in-home massage for a hotel room or Airbnb?

Yes — hotel room and short-term rental bookings are available. Enter your hotel name and room number at checkout. Your therapist coordinates with the front desk professionally and discreetly. No special hotel permission is required. Standard hotel rooms of 200+ sq ft accommodate a full professional table setup comfortably.
